A Case for the Existence of God
The acclaimed performance A Case for the Existence of God is coming to Tilburg! An intimate story about hope and friendship.
Director Erik Whien delivers a heartfelt plea for hope, even when everything seems lost. In this contemporary play, an unlikely friendship emerges between two fathers. Two men who at first glance have little in common, except that life has been quite hard on them both. But it is precisely that adversity that creates an unexpected bond. Perhaps something great, something divine.
Kevin and Bryan, two single fathers, each fight for their right to exist in their own way. One struggles with financial problems, while the other grapples with complicated adoption procedures. Together, they explore how to maintain hope when life nearly paralyzes you.
After the successes of Grief is the Thing with Feathers and Slaughterhouse-Five, Erik Whien created the first Dutch adaptation of this highly praised performance. The press was enthusiastic, and the performance was selected for the Dutch Theater Festival and the TheaterFestival Vlaanderen. During this reprise, Thomas Höppener and Fjodor Jozefzoon play the roles of Kevin and Bryan.
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
