Is Nothing Sacred Anymore?
Amid ruins and the present, Ara lets ancient sounds breathe again. The Tilburg‑based singer‑songwriter effortlessly weaves centuries‑old Armenian folk with contemporary pop and cinematic influences. Together with his band, strings and the haunting sound of the Armenian duduk, he creates a musical landscape that is hard to compare to anything else.
From street musician, Ara has grown into an artist who connects with both audiences and established names. He has, among other things, performed as support act for Racoon’s national tour and previously appeared in the Studiozaal with his debut EP Where The Lilies Bloom In Ruins. With Is Nothing Sacred Anymore?, his new EP, he opens a new chapter, telling stories of heritage and loss in a constantly transforming world.
