LaPiratesse is much more than a band. It is a performance collective around Inez Wolters – a creative jack-of-all-trades, protest artist, and stage beast. Each piece is a mini-performance. Inez transforms each time into a new character, complete with a matching extravagant outfit. A visual live show that grinds, surprises, and blows your mind open.  

In Boxes , Inez takes you into her thoughts about gender, equality, technology, poverty, and the world of tomorrow. Personal and poetic, but always with a universal message. Together with multi-instrumentalists Wouter de Belder, Egon Loosveldt, Willem Heylen, and visual artist Sander Verbiest, she builds a total experience full of music, spoken word, visuals, fashion, and dance. 

Musically, it is a melting pot: modern classical, jazz, pop-rock, and world music flow together effortlessly. Think of the intensity of Nick Cave, the character changes of David Bowie, the magic of Sigur Ros, and the theatricality of Wende.
