Memento
The music speaks directly to the feeling. It invites you to slow down, to let memories surface, or to disappear entirely into the moment. During previous concerts, including in a church, the power of this music became clear: live, an organic intensity arises that cannot be captured in streaming or on record.
During Memento, Bryan Raets brings together an ensemble of strings with his piano. The result? A layered sound that can be both intimate and grand, making it perfectly suited to the Studio.
Bryan Raets is a pianist, composer and producer. Captivated by the expressive power of music, he has been able from a young age to switch effortlessly between post‑minimalism, neo‑classical and pop. He makes the invisible tangible and the lifeless alive. The same is true in Memento, an experience that does not leave you untouched.
His music has been streamed more than 180 million times and viewed more than 4 billion times on social media. He also collaborates with artists such as Miss Montreal and Nick & Simon. His compositions can be heard in various apps, on websites and in television series. At the moment, he is even working on the soundtrack for a feature film.
Ambitus presents Bryan Raets
Ambitus builds a bridge between today’s contemporary composers and their audience. In this hectic world, it is pleasant to disconnect from time to time and lose yourself in the beauty of music. Performed by the composers themselves, each Ambitus presents performance takes you on a musical journey interwoven with personal stories from the maker. It hardly gets more personal than this. For some, this musical movement may be better known as neo‑classical; Ambitus is the platform for contemporary music performed by the composers themselves, aiming to inspire and connect.
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
