It has been more than forty years since the unique cabaret performer Frans Halsema passed away, but he still lives on in the hearts of audiences. His major hits Voor Haar and Vluchten Kan Niet Meer are still frequently played and rank high each year in evergreen charts on various radio stations.

Many people in the Netherlands know legendary cabaret scenes such as Geen Ja Geen Nee and Raden Maar by heart. But who was this great cabaret artist really?

Under the direction of Michiel van Erp, known for the award‑winning television series about Ramses Shaffy, Soy Kroon steps into the role of the man who outwardly was the cheerful Frans, but who struggled to find peace in his private life.
