What if you do not truly belong anywhere? In Moonlight Motel Steyn de Leeuwe takes you along in a raw, musical and humorous solo theatre performance about living on the streets. Something he knows all about, because Steyn worked in a homeless shelter for two years. He brings that experience into this hallucinatory theatre trip.
With sharp humour and great empathy, Steyn inhabits dozens of characters. He performs an Odyssey, told by an antihero. About success and failure, luck and misfortune, justice and injustice, fiction and reality. Because how close is it really: sleeping on the streets? And are we not all looking for a place to come home to?

At enormous speed all the characters rush by, each with a different story. It is breathtaking to see how De Leeuwe constantly switches between all these characters and also himself.
