Everyone has one, but not everyone knows him: the father. A safe haven or a household tyrant. A storyteller or a passerby. Sometimes your biggest fan, sometimes a silent presence. After the successful Ons Moeder, it is now Ons Vader that takes center stage. An evening that touches you and makes you think.
In this performance, actors Gürkan Küçüksentürk (e Toeslagenaffaire, Dertigers) and Huub Smit (New Kids, Undercover) take you through personal and relatable stories about fathers. The setting is a barber shop, where well-known Den Bosch resident Huib Burmanje receives his clients. A place where colorful scenes, musical acts, and sharp observations about fatherhood emerge.
Fatherly myths come to life and are then humorously and sharply deconstructed. How has the role of fathers changed? Does the classic father still exist? Or did he never exist? Mothers and daughters also come into play.
In short, a warm, touching, and at times hilarious performance!
