Prikkels brings your inner world into the spotlight. Because from the outside, it is not always visible what is happening within. Our body is the space in which that inner world lives—like a house. What if your house has thin or thick walls? Many windows and doors? And what if you cannot close them properly, or if they are always shut tight? Sometimes your house feels too small, other times there is space everywhere. One moment everything and everyone can enter, the next nothing and no one at all. What does it feel like inside your house?

In Prikkels, three performers take you—through physical play and music—into the world of your senses. They explore the feelings created by how we process stimuli: a restless body, a buzzing mind, or feeling so open that everything hits intensely.

Youth company BonteHond and theatre company Schweigman& join forces for the first time in Prikkels—and not without success. The performance was nominated for the Podiumkids Prize 2026 and was one of three finalists for the Hart voor Hoogsensitiviteit Award 2025.
