Romani!
Join Pynarello on an adventurous and energetic musical journey along the ancient roads of the Romani. From India, where the roots of Roma culture lie, you travel via the Middle East to Europe. Everywhere the Roma went, they influenced – and were influenced by – the local population. Pynarello brings all this richness to life together with three top soloists.
Romanian musician Vasile Nedea connects his Roma‑cultural roots with Western classical styles. He grew from street musician into a much‑sought‑after soloist and composer, with particular expertise in cimbalom and accordion.
Niti Ranjan Biswas brings refined rhythms to life in an exceptional way on the tabla. This instrument is a nod to his musical journey, which began in Bangladesh and, guided by Indian masters, led him to Europe.
Dutch guitarist Faifie Reinhardt adds another dimension to the swing and soul of gypsy jazz, honouring the Reinhardt family name of the legendary Django Reinhardt.
With a touch of classical music by Telemann under a Roma glow, Pynarello completes the performance.
Whether this performance has an interval is not yet known.
