‘After ten years of following my own path, I no longer want to choose between the worlds I know—I want to bring them together. THREADS is my attempt to delve deeper and take the audience along.’ The harp, the instrument in which Remy has long been regarded as one of the world’s greatest talents and innovators, forms the connective tissues between all these disciplines. 

In this performance, Remy utilizes loops, electronics, and his unparalleled virtuosity in playing his instrument. In collaboration with light and visual artist Jurjen Alkema, THREADS is a true audiovisual experience. Remy van Kesteren will debut the show during Oerol 2026 with ten performances on location. He will then tour THREADS to more than twenty Dutch theaters this fall. 

THREADS isn't just for classical music enthusiasts or contemporary pop music enthusiasts: this performance is for anyone who, like Remy himself, is curious about the contrasts and similarities between extremes. The jury of the Podium Prize, which Remy won in 2025, described him as ‘defining his genre’ – an artist who explores and pushes boundaries.
