Je bent pittig
Yeliz is a thirty-something who rushes through life. Too many assignments, invoices submitted too late, and more friends than weekends in the year. While partying and working, she deflects prejudices, conquers her fears, and searches for her true path. But she keeps becoming spicier, sharper, harder.
Until one morning her home is shot fifty floors into the air. Floating among the clouds and dizzy from the fear of heights, she begins a descent to the core, both of the earth and of herself. What does she discover? The power of softness.
Together with musician Dizzi Geetha, Yeliz Doğan takes you on a magical-realist journey. A mix of music, theater, and stand-up, with a hefty dose of humor and imagination.
Yeliz Doğan is a Dutch theater maker with Turkish roots. In her personal performances, she dives into the experiences of a young woman with a bicultural background. She tells stories that resonate, about identity, expectations, and the search for oneself. In addition to her work as a theater maker, Yeliz appeared for three seasons in Spangas and performed with theater groups such as Lost Project and DOX.
Dizzi Geetha is a queerpoc artist from Sri Lanka. In the Netherlands, Dizzi grew into a composer and multi-instrumentalist, specializing in drums and percussion. In her music, you can hear her love for nature reflected: unique compositions where rhythm and natural sounds come together.
