Aladdin is a brave young man with a big heart, but also with a bit of bad luck. No matter how hard he tries, he gets dismissed from every market stall. And all the while, he has only one dream: to make sure that no one in the village ever goes hungry again. But how do you care for others if you cannot even take care of yourself? Fortunately, a market vendor sees Aladdin for the good person he is and takes him under his wing.

When his clumsy elephant friend Boeboe accidentally knocks over a stall, they come across a book about the magical Cave of Wonders: a hidden place deep in the desert where dreams can come true. As Aladdin dreams of adventure, he catches the eye of the beautiful Princess Layla and instantly falls in love. But she is on her way to announce her engagement to Prince Rashid, whom she does not like at all. The Sultana, however, does not see a poor young man as a suitable son-in-law.

From that moment on, Aladdin has only one wish: to be with Layla. Together with Boeboe, he sets off for the magical cave. There he finds enormous treasures, but as soon as he touches the gold, the entrance collapses. Trapped inside, he discovers a magical lamp, from which two spirits emerge. He is granted four wishes, but love cannot be forced.

They devise a plan: Aladdin must become a prince. With the help of Boeboe and the witty duo, he takes on the challenge. Will he succeed in turning a street urchin into a real prince?
