The Italian‑Dutch company from Madrid combines live music, physical theatre, humour and object theatre. As always, Canti Vaganti actively involves the audience in the performance. The performers play with clothing, like two children opening their parents’ wardrobe and imagining a different phase of life each time. Every stage of life can be a carnival, and the very fact that we are alive deserves to be celebrated.

The company Canti Vaganti was founded in 2011 by Dutch Kateleine van der Maas and Italian Bruno Gullo. Canti Vaganti creates joyful and profound performances in which different artistic disciplines come together, and approaches family audiences with great care, respect and affection. The makers see theatre as a place for celebration, growth and encounter. In all their performances, they invite the audience in a playful and energetic way to actively take part.
