The music moves between new compositions and influences from the musical heritage ranging from Granada to Baghdad, with percussion, oud and violin among the leading voices. In the intuitive movement language, hip hop and contemporary dance merge into one recognisable, hybrid form. In this way a shared language emerges in which sound becomes movement and movement becomes rhythm.

Ghosts interweaves body, music and memory into a living ritual. The audience becomes a witness to a search for inspiration. For that which smoulders beneath the surface and refuses to disappear. From whisper to eruption, dancers and musicians search for what lies behind rituals that have lost their origin, thereby creating new meanings. Because in our rituals lies our cultural memory; they carry the roots of who we are.
