In Don’t despair, as a spectator you are swept into a breathtaking adventure—high up in the air—that shifts every perspective. Within an ingenious suspended set, a labyrinth of planks, platforms and ropes, the performers are forced to remain constantly on edge. One wrong step and everything collapses; one deliberately loosened rope and they fall.

In this treacherous environment, which divides and grants power to those who seize it, they are forced to choose: do they pursue their own gain, striving alone for the top? Or do they form a pact with the other, forging a peaceful alliance?

With its distinctive language of dance and acrobatics—embracing risk while never losing sight of humanity—Panama Pictures responds to a world in transition. A special role is played by singer and multi-instrumentalist iET (Lisa van Viegen-Mokoginta), who, with her warm voice, trumpet and guitar, offers a different perspective on the whole—at times vulnerable and melancholic, at others resolute and stirring. Does she reveal the true intentions, comment on the events, or does she too manipulate our perception?
