Lucas and Arthur Jussen present a programme that takes you from Bach to Gershwin. In it, the brothers reveal different musical worlds: from the clarity of the Baroque and the lyricism of the Romantic era to the rhythmic layering of twentieth‑century music and the distinctive sounds of the American repertoire.

As we have come to expect from them, they move effortlessly between these contrasting styles, placing emphasis on balance, clarity and ensemble playing.

Raised in a musical family in Hilversum, Lucas (1993) and Arthur (1996) began playing together at an early age, and as they performed more frequently as a duo (four‑hands or on two pianos), their collaboration became increasingly serious. Over the years they have developed a shared playing style in which it seems as though a single pianist is at work.

Whether they sit side by side or behind their own grand piano, you remain captivated by the brothers’ phenomenal interplay.
